Atlatl and dart

What is a atlatl and dart. A atlatl is a prehistoric dart throwing device. The atlatl is a about two foot long shaft with a peg at the end of the shaft. The dart is a four to seven foot long flexible shaft with a point at the end. the way the atlatl and dart works is you place the butt of the dart on the little peg at the end of the atlatl then you grasp the far side of the atlatl that dose not have the knock and throw the dart as hard as you can sending the dart about 250 feet.
